The Vetware platform

One platform.
Every automation.

Most hospitals pay a separate vendor for every problem: reviews, booking, signage, records requests, imaging. We built one platform that connects to your PIMS, your phones, your texts and your imaging, and every Vetware product runs on top of it.

  • Vetware products
  • Your systems, connected

Why a platform

End death by a thousand subscriptions

Every single-purpose vendor is another login, another integration with your PIMS, and another bill. When we see a problem our platform can easily solve, we solve it and add it to the platform instead of handing you another subscription.

The usual way

  • Online bookingVendor A
  • Client surveys and reviewsVendor B
  • Exam room signageVendor C
  • Records requestsVendor D
  • Imaging and PACSVendor E

Five logins. Five integrations. Five subscriptions. None of them talk to each other.

The Vetware way

  • Online bookingVetTime
  • Client surveys and reviewsVetReviews
  • Exam room signageVetCast
  • Records requestsVetShare
  • Imaging and PACSVetView

One platform. One login. One subscription. Every product shares the same connection to your PIMS.

Where the approach comes from

We built a platform like this once before, at Amazon

Before Vetware, our founder was head of product for Amazon A to Z, the internal platform Amazon builds its internal applications on. Every Amazon employee and contractor works in it, millions of people a day.

Before that platform existed, every team shipping an app solved the same problems over again: authentication, a security review, access to a data source another team had already connected. Most of the work was not the app.

Once those became platform services, teams stopped rebuilding them and time to market for a new feature dropped sharply. The apps got better too, because nobody was spending a quarter on plumbing.

Vetware is that methodology pointed at veterinary medicine. Each new product plugs into the platform instead of starting over.

How it fits together

Every product is an automation on the same platform

Pick a product to see which platform services it uses. When we find a new problem worth solving, we do not start from scratch. We connect services that already exist.

Your PIMS

The system you already use. Untouched.

Every product reads from it and writes back to it.

Your PIMS

Keep your PIMS. We make it do more.

We do not build a PIMS, and we do not want to. A PIMS is complex software, and PIMS vendors should stay focused on running your practice. We focus on everything around it.

Our PIMS connector plugs into the system you already use. VetTime does not reinvent appointment scheduling. It books straight into the schedule your front desk already works from.

No migration

Your records, your schedule and your workflows stay where they are.

No double entry

Bookings, survey answers and records requests write back to your PIMS on their own.

Built for any PIMS

The PIMS connector is a layer between our products and your system, so a new PIMS connection does not mean rebuilding a product.

Why it matters

Why would a PIMS vendor ever think about the TV in the exam room?

When an appointment turns into a euthanasia, the exam room screen running VetCast switches from client education to a quiet fireplace. Nobody has to remember. Nobody has to find a remote.

A PIMS vendor would never build that. A signage vendor could not build it without your PIMS. It takes both, connected on one platform, by people who have stood in that exam room.

Building blocks

The next product is a few connections away

Because the services already exist, a new automation takes very little new code. That is how we keep adding products without adding subscriptions.

Got an idea?

Tell us what you wish existed

If there is a problem your practice keeps working around, the platform probably already has most of the pieces for it. Send us the concept. We may build it, and it may become our next product.

If we build it, your practice is the first one running it.

Why we built a platform

From a customer's question to a live feature in one day

A prospective customer once asked if Keepsake could do face prints. It couldn't. Not because it wasn't possible: every service we needed already existed on the platform. Adding face prints was a small change to the automation workflow.

Within one day we launched the feature to every Keepsake customer. That hospital bought Keepsake for all three of their locations within a week.

AI is changing how fast software can move. Delivering features that quickly takes a platform built so new solutions are a matter of connecting what is already there. That is why we built Vetware the way we did.

1 day

Where it comes from

Built in a vet hospital. Shared with your hospital.

Every service on the platform was built and tested over about four years at Mountain View Animal Hospital in Canton, Georgia, before we offered it to anyone else. We still run our own hospital on it every day.
